Pilgrims tea rooms and restaurant is situated in the Brecon Cathedral close. Pilgrims provides fresh homemade food and caters for all types of external events, including weddings, buffets and special occasions. In addition, individual picnic hampers can be prepared for walkers, cyclists and local tourists to the area.

The restaurant buiilding retains the charm and style of the adjacent 15th century tithe barn. On sunny days visitors are able to enjoy sitting outside under the cloisters or in the herb garden.

Ingredients are locally sourced and meals are freshly prepared. The tea rooms are fully licensed.

The kitchen of Pilgrims tea rooms forms the base of Janet Williams Catering.

Janet has been catering for 40 years and, although her food projects have covered many areas, she is committed to providing  high quality, locally sourced foods freshly prepared.

Pilgrims will cater for groups at the tea rooms (minimum 15) or will provide outside catering when required.

Standard group menus can be provided to help you plan a group meal or refreshments, either during our usual opening hours (10am - 5pm in Summer, 10am - 4pm in Winter) or in the evening if your group includes 25 people or more. In many cases, these menus will be just a starting point for a bespoke service that we shall be delighted to discuss with you fully, taking into account any special requirements or dietary needs. All food is freshly prepared and homemade.

Depending on the size of your group and the date/time, it is possible to book part or all of Pilgrims tea rooms for your function. Alternatively the Cathedral Heritage Centre or other facilities within Brecon Cathedral precincts may be available.

The Pilgrims team also have extensive experience of ouside catering for special events.

PICNIC HAMPERS

Each picnic comprises of a salad bowl, a sandwich, a homebaked cake, a piece of fresh fruit and a bottle of Celtic spring water. Picnics come in their own biodegradable paper bag. More information on picnic hampers.

Pilgrims is fully equipped and experience to cater for outside events, including wedding catering and special occasions. We can also provide hot or cold buffets and are able to design a menu to suit your taste and budget. CHRISTMAS

Christmas is a special time at Pilgrims restaurant. We cater for individuals with a lunch menu and take group bookings for dinners.
