Brecon is well known as a place of outstanding beauty. The area immediately surrounding Pilgrims Tea Rooms is no exception.
On the Eastern edge of Brecon town, the Priory Groves is an area of ancient woodland.
The main woodland is on one side of the Honddu valley. In the Welsh language Brecon is known as ‘Aberhonddu’, the mouth of the Honddu. This refers to the confluence of the Honddu and the Usk.
Why not work up an appetite for a delicious Pilgrims’ meal with a pleasant stroll through this woodland?
